Austin grade school brings in Self-defense expert after
death of fellow teacher
February 21, 2012 – Austin, TX – Casis Elementary is hosting a Self-defense seminar today from 3:30 – 4:30 pm with Austin Self-defense expert Steve Doss. The seminar was requested by the teachers of Casis Elementary to help them cope with the death of fellow teacher Esmeralda Barrera.
Esma Barrera was the victim of the New Year Eve murder in Austin, TX, a case that hasn’t been closed by the Austin Police Department.
Barrera was originally from El Paso and worked as a teaching assistant at Casis Elementary School near downtown Austin.
The seminar will be held at Casis Elementary, 2710 Exposition Boulevard in Austin, and runs from 3:30-4:30pm.
Steve Doss is an 8th degree Black Belt and is the owner and head instructor of Premier Martial Arts – Austin, TX. Premier is Austin’s largest and longest running martial arts school, with over 5,000 students being taught self-defense and martial arts since 1984.
